How to Draw Perry the Platypus Easy Step by Step
Candace and Perry
Drawing Perry and Candace
Hey guys! My last hub on how to draw Phineas and Ferb was so popular that I decided to draw some of the other characters. So I will be teaching you how to draw their pet Perry the platypus as a pet not as Agent P. And slso I'll show you how to draw their sister Candace. You can learn these and show them to your kids or neices and nephew or whoever. I will be showing you how to draw the exact pictures above, so any other variation of either character is up to you to draw. Let's Go!
Steps 1, 2 and 3
How to Draw Perry in pet mode
Now I'm doing this hub differently from the Phineas and Ferb hub in the sense that you can see the outline of what will be drawn. This is done because unlike Phineas and Ferb, Perry's body shape or head is not drawn first. So let's begin.
Step 1: Let's start with his eyes. Draw two ovals about 1/4 inch apart. Then draw a circle inside each oval. and color it in but leave a tiny part white for the pupil of the eye.
Step 2: Drawing his body; it's a weird shape. I'd suggest starting with a rectangle and then round the top left edge a little bit. Round the bottom left edge a lot. Then draw a sloped line from the middle of his back to just above the middle of his rear-end. Then just round the bottom of the rectangle to give him his belly. *It might take a while to get the proper shape but just try to do what I did.
Step 3: Now time to draw his legs. The back leg extends down from the back of the body. He has two legs in front (so erase the lines) and two legs in back (so keep lines). His back legs are like a V shape and his front legs have the back line curved out a little bit. Just try and draw what I did. You'll get it.
Steps 4, 5 and 6
Drawing the next parts
Step 4: Drawing his duck bill. The bottom lip of his bill is the same curved edge of the body. So draw a rounded rectangle with the lip on the inside. Then the outline of his bill is like a banana shape.
Step 5: His tail looks easy but unless done right it will not look good. It's the tail of a beaver. Draw a rounded flap. Then add 4 round X shapes inside.
Step 6: His hair IS easy, draw 3 little scruffy lines of hair with the middle line being taller. Also they all curve in the same direction towards the left.
Well that's all there is to drawing Perry the platypus. Good out and practice!
Steps 1, 2 and 3
How to draw Candace
Now that we all ready drew Perry it's time to draw Candace. She is fairly easy to draw. I think she is easier than Perry. So here we go!
Step 1: Her head is a backwards P shape. So start with that and do a slope for the forehead.
Step 2: Her eyes. I recommend draing a line across her face so that her eyes are level. You can erase the extra line in the gap later. Then draw two half circle facing down for the eye shape. Then two circles in the right corner, color it in. and leave a little bit of white for the pupil on the left side of each eye. Just like I did. At the end of each eye draw a little line upwards for her eyelash. Her eye brows are just an arc shape floating above each eye. As you can see the left eye stands out of the face a little bit.
Step 3: Her mouth and nose are just basic arc shaped. ( that is the nose shape which is just below the left eye. The mouth is just a curve frown.
Last Steps 4 and 5
Last two steps
Step 4: Drawing her upper body is easy. Start at the neck and draw a round collar. Then some sloping shoulders off the side. And the arm outline parallel to that. That's all!
Step 5: Her hair is long and has curls at the end.Draw the top part parallel to her P shaped head. Erase the unessesary line at the top of her head. Then at the bottom justdo curls thatconnect to the shoulders.
Well that how you draw Candace. Add some variations with her mouth and eyes and try drawing her full body. Now go practice!
So now that we have learned how to draw Perry and Candace as well as Phineas and Ferb in the other hub, we can now impress and amaze children of all ages and even some adults. Well go have fun and draw!
